Modern and contemporary art up close

At Museum van Bommel van Dam, you can explore modern and contemporary art in different ways. You can do so through exhibitions, as well as activities, events and guided tours. The museum also works with artists, businesses and government organisations on projects both inside and outside the museum.

From post office to museum

In 2021, the museum moved into Venlo's fully renovated former post office. One striking feature of the building is the Duikbril, a large window shaped like a diving mask. From here, you can look out over the city centre. You do not need an admission ticket to visit the Duikbril.

Other parts of the museum are also free to visit. Take a look inside the depot on floor -1 or view the museum's new acquisitions in the stairwell.

See, create and discover

De Bovenkamer is for children and adults who enjoy getting creative themselves. In this attic studio, you can discover how artists develop their ideas and create your own inspiration booklet.

You only need a ticket for the exhibitions. As the exhibitions change, there will be something different to see on your next visit. Feel free to drop in and see which art catches your eye.
